Kendall Mackintosh, MS, CNS, LDN, INHC, is a Board Certified and
Licensed Integrative and Functional Clinical Nutritionist,
Functional Medicine Practitioner, Certified Integrative Nutrition
Health Coach, educator, advocate, and mother.
After her own family’s health challenges led her to question the
conventional approach to food and wellness, Kendall transformed
that experience into a career dedicated to helping others
understand the powerful connection between what we eat, the
environment we live in, and how we feel.
She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition and
Integrative Health and specializes in gut health, metabolic
health, detoxification, hormones, mitochondrial health, and
longevity. Based in Washington, DC, she runs a national telehealth
private practice, working with clients across the country.
Her Belief
Our bodies were designed to thrive when we nourish them with real
food and honor the way God intended us to live.
Advocacy & Education
Beyond her clinical practice, Kendall is deeply involved in the
movement for a healthier America. She has worked in health
advocacy and education at both the grassroots and national level,
bringing attention to food quality, environmental exposures,
informed choice, and the need to restore transparency and common
sense to our health and food systems.
She has also shared her perspective through national television,
podcasts, panels, and public-health conversations.
Colors Not Calories
Nutrient density just means how much good your body gets out of a
bite of food—not how many calories are in it. A plate full of
color is almost always more nutrient dense than a plate of beige.
That’s the idea behind Colors Not Calories: if you build your
plate around color and variety, you’re naturally getting a wider
range of what your body actually needs—without needing a nutrition
degree to figure it out.
Orange and yellow tend to carry vitamin A. Deep greens are where
you’ll find iron and magnesium. Red and purple usually mean
vitamin C and antioxidants. White and pale often carry sulfur
compounds that support your liver and gut.
Kendall’s Box
Kendall is the creator of Kendall’s Box: 3 Days of Real Food, the
Way God Intended—a curated experience designed to show that eating
real, nourishing food doesn’t have to be complicated. Each box
brings her philosophy to life: simple ingredients, intentional
choices, and food that supports the body rather than working
against it.

Kendall’s Box
3 Days of Real Food, the Way God Intended
A three-day box put together by Kendall Mackintosh, MS, CNS, LDN —
functional nutritionist and Cōpow Strategic Partner.
Why she built it this way
She’s spent years building plans for clients who don’t want another
chart to follow. They want food that’s genuinely good for them
without having to think about it. That’s the whole idea here: three
days, no tracking, no reading labels—just food that’s already doing
the work.
The way she checks that a plate is doing that work isn’t a macro
count. It’s color. A plate that runs gold to green to red is
naturally carrying a wider spread of vitamins, minerals, and
antioxidants than a plate that’s all one shade. So instead of asking
you to balance anything, she built the balance in: each day of this
box is built around one color, and by the end of three days you’ve
eaten your way through the whole spectrum without once thinking
about it.
Day one leans on honey and slow-roasted gold. Day two is the most
vegetable-forward day. Day three closes things out with something
rich and grounding—the kind of dinner that actually feels like
dinner.
